Lunapads on the Canadian Prairies.

I got my DivaCup about 2 years ago and have always loved it. It’s a great product and much, MUCH more comfortable than tampons (such as no drying feeling and, unlike tampons, I actually can’t feel the DivaCup after awhile). But some days I like to just use pads. Up until my last period, I had been using regular disposable pads. Of course, I knew each time I would be torturing myself by ending up with ingrown hairs, rashes, itchiness, and an overall leaky, gross feeling with disposable pads. I decided I needed to change that.

I had found out about LunaPads from my local organic market (Organza Market) and found the LunaPads website. I ordered Maxi pads and Liners right away and received them within a couple of days.

Let me tell you, I couldn’t possibly be any happier with my choice. I’ve given away any left over tampons I had and I’ve packed up all the disposable pads to give away. I have been telling all my friends about Lunapads, I’ve posted about it in my blog, and I’ve handed out brochures that I received with my order.

Lunapads are so unbelievably comfortable and easy to manage. If I’m going to work, I put in 2 liners to last me the day and by the time I get home I haven’t even leaked through to the second liner. Awesome! I just toss the soiled liners into a bucket of cold water under my bathroom sink and wash them at the end of my period. It really is that simple!

The price is completely worth not having to deal with uncomfortable disposable pads ever again and it’s cheaper in the long run. Also, being environmentally conscious, I’m now doing my part by not contaminating landfills with disposable pads that are not very biodegradable. Oh, not to mention that I love supporting my fellow Canadians by purchasing their products. :)
Thank you so much to the wonderful, amazing women at Lunapads! You really are changing the way women feel about their menstrual cycle. Lots of love to you and to your marvelous work.

I recently posted about lunapads on my blog too! I’m glad you love them, and I’m encouraging my friends to look into ‘alternative’ menstrual products.
