Laundry builds up quickly at our house, but we've figured out a routine to optimize the laundry loads. After rinsing my Lunapads, I soak them in a bucket and change the water every day until I'm ready to do a load of socks and undies. It's not a big deal or disgusting. The environmental imact of disposable pads, tampons and diapers is immense compared to using water to launder cloth pads and diapers. Water is a renewable resource - diapers and disposable pads take 500 years to biodegrade. Now that's disgusting! Well, I have 2 kids and cloth diaper my baby.
