New Lunapanties here at last!
If you had told me 16 years ago when I first started developing Lunapanties that one day they would take me halfway around the world and almost drive me crazy, I would never have believed you. How could underwear possibly do this?

Lunapanties, as their legions of fans will be happy to tell you (ladies, you can stop calling and emailing about when they’re going to be in stock now!) are no ordinary underwear. The basic idea behind Lunapanties is a hybrid between Lunapads and underwear, where the pad is permanently sewn into the gusset of the panty, with added bands at either end to hold Liners in place like pad-style Lunapads do.
Lunapanties are highly functional underwear that happily accommodate what we have come to affectionately call everyday “random leakiness” to full on menstrual flow. Think: everyday whatnot issues associated with sneezing, laughing, having stayed up late for some (ahem) fun, being pregnant, postpartum, or heck, even your plain old period. Just add liners as necessary, to accommodate your needs.
Knowing we had a fantastic product on our hands, we set out 2 years ago to find new production partners to improve the overall quality and meet customer demand for new styles and colors (cue the Gilligan’s Island theme song)! I’m going to pause for a moment of gratitude for all of you who have waited so patiently while our “3 hour tour” turned into an international odyssey. What took so long? Allow me to explain..
One sad example of the casualties of globalization has taken place right here in Vancouver, where I have been watching the slow demise of a once-vibrant garment manufacturing industry over the past decade. As a result, it’s been hard for us, particularly as a small company, to find reliable production partners who had the right equipment, were willing to work on smaller runs, and had business practices that we felt were in line with our own. Our search for partners who could fit this bill took us across Canada and to distant lands half way around the world, but in the end we are happy to report that we landed right back where we started: Lunapanties continue to be made locally here in Vancouver.
Another issue that has taken considerable time and thought has been design, with respect to both fit, styles and
functionality. Longtime Lunapanties fans will remember that there used to be a “deluxe” version that had a breathable nylon layer. We have dispensed with this feature for several reasons: first, we wanted to create an all organic product (which we have done, yay!) that was as versatile as possible.
Last but not least, we wanted to be able to have as many styles, sizes and colors as possible: reducing the line from two styles to one has allowed us to do this, with less confusion to customers.
In a nutshell, here’s what’s new about new Lunapanties:
So, that’s the Lunapanties story. We decided to start with a “soft launch” of Lunapanties, offering a modest selection of styles and sizes. All styles and sizes are introductory sale priced this month only at 15% off - enjoy, and be sure to let us know what you think!
*We are still fit-testing sizes XL, 2XL and 3XL with customers (maybe you’re one of them!) and anticipate having those ready for purchase next month. We will also have the Brief style available soon!

Wow! I came home to find a test pair of sleek black Lunapanties in my mailbox! The quality is fantastic and the fabric feels great - substantial and soft. I like the bands instead of rickrack too. Can’t wait to test out the fit!
Thanks so much!

I tried the red ones when you had them, and they were great! I don’t see any briefs, though?

I’m sorry, I just now saw that you said the briefs are coming soon; I must have missed that before. So ignore my previous query!
